About
I am DK Jonah, a Nigerian writer, speaker and coach. I help people set goals they can keep, make decisions that give them peace, and build a life that fits who they really are, with the illness, the neurodiversity, the faith and the full diary in it.

Where my work begins
That question sits under everything I do, whether I am speaking in a church, coaching a founder or building a tool you can use on this website.
When my own life stopped fitting the systems around me, I went looking for help. I found two kinds. People who seemed to be waiting for me to fail. And safety nets that only held me if I lowered my standards and compromised my values.
Neither was care. Care is having standards, understanding who you are, and building from there.
In many of the communities I love, including African and faith communities, chronic illness gets minimised and neurodivergence gets masked. Prayer is offered where practical support is also needed, and staying busy becomes proof that you are fine.
So I speak about it plainly. Not for sympathy. For change.
My story
I grew up around structure. My father served in the Navy, I went to a Navy secondary school, and I later studied international security and diplomacy. By 2012 my health had stopped me. I could not hold information long enough to write anything down. So I stopped, and for the first time I sat with myself properly.
In 2014 a strengths report gave me one word for something I had been doing my whole life: restorative. The way I see things was different, not wrong.
I have been building in public since 2011. Create With Words. Pinky Promise London. Reconcilers Radio. Decisions That Work, which grew into NO GraGra and then The Autonomy Code. Two books. More than 300 people trained and 150 mentored.
Today I work with the NHS on lived-experience leadership, with senior military leaders on doctrine, and with people building work that carries their own name. Different rooms, same problem: people carrying more than they can currently say.
“I am interested in the parts people hide because they have been told those parts weaken their authority. Very often, that is where the most useful knowledge lives.”

Knowledge architect
I turn what people know and have lived through into clear structures they can understand and use.

Speaker and facilitator
I help a room go from "that is me" to having words for it, and from words to a next step they own.

Coach
I help people set goals they can keep and make decisions that fit the life they really have.

Writer and broadcaster
Two books, years on Reconcilers Radio, and letters that give words to what people carry.

Advocate
I bring lived experience into decisions about chronic illness, mental health, autism and belonging.

Faith-rooted builder
I help Christian people and organisations steward what they have been given to carry and share.
How I work
Why this work exists
To give people language and structure for what they are already carrying.
The heart
I listen for what is there, what is hidden and what keeps repeating.
The voice
I find the pattern and name it in words you can use.
The invitation
We build a structure that fits your life, then test it in real decisions and real weeks.
What is real comes before what looks good.
Most people already know enough. They need a way to use it.
Speed cannot rescue a weak structure.
A good system respects real bodies, real limits and real responsibilities.
People need to be seen before they can be helped.
Faith can hold questions, sadness, slowness and honest prayer.
I will tell you the truth, clearly and with care.
I will not ask you to become a louder version of someone else.
I will give you something you can use, not just something to think about.
I will build around the capacity you really have, not an ideal one.
I will not waste your time with noise.
NO GraGra
No performance.
No unnecessary struggle.
No borrowed life.
Slow first. Then precise.
Waiting until life calms down usually means waiting for ever. Every week spent living by rules you never chose is a week you do not get back.
You do not need a big leap. You need one honest step, and you can take it today.
